FAQs

  • Microcement is a fine, cement-based coating, hand-trowelled in two to three very thin layers to a maximum of around 3mm.
The result is a seamless, continuous surface with no grout lines — refined, durable and entirely unique to its space.

Its exceptional adhesion allows it to be applied across an unusually broad range of surfaces and substrates, including plasterboard, FC sheeting, marine ply, Hebel, laminate, MDF, existing tiles and more. This versatility makes it suitable for floors, walls, benchtops, joinery, splashbacks, fireplaces and wet areas alike — often without the need for demolition.

Microcement is also particularly well suited to outdoor use, on surfaces such as pools, rendered bench seating and exterior flooring.

Every surface is trowelled entirely by hand by a skilled artisan, making each application one of a kind.

Our microcement is easy to maintain, highly durable, environmentally friendly, and naturally mould resistant.

  • Venetian plaster, also known as polished plaster, is a handcrafted finish made from natural materials including lime and fine marble dust. Burnished by hand, it develops remarkable depth, movement and subtle variation in tone.

Unlike paint, Venetian plaster interacts with light — shifting and softening across a surface to bring warmth, texture and character to a space. It can be applied to walls, ceilings, splashbacks and architectural features such as curved walls, columns, arches, staircases and fireplaces, allowing a finish to move seamlessly through a room.

Because each application is shaped by hand and by the conditions of the space, no two finishes are ever the same — making it a timeless choice for both contemporary and traditional interiors. While primarily an interior finish, certain finishes can also be suitable for outdoor use in the right conditions.

  • Yes. Microcement is fully waterproof, which makes it ideal for bathrooms, showers and other wet areas.

It performs equally well outdoors — on surfaces such as pools, rendered bench seating, high traffic areas and exterior flooring — for a seamless, enduring finish wherever it's used.

  • Yes. One of the advantages of microcement is that it can be applied directly over existing tiles, often removing the need for demolition.

The key is preparation — the existing surface must be carefully assessed and prepared first to ensure a refined, lasting result. Applied with care, it allows a clean, seamless finish to be achieved with minimal disruption.
